Assateague Island Ponies - May 2026

As my husband put it, I can't simply "take a vacation" without horses being involved somehow. Enjoy a selection of images from my trip to the Maryland side of Assateague Island! Please note that all images were taken from a safe distance with large zoom lenses, always be careful around wild horses. 

The featured image is of the young bachelor stallion, Jack Seabright. Bands photographed include Billy Bob's band, TJ Hollywood's band, Sarah's Sweet Tea's band, Finn Radar's band, Chief's band, Adriana's Happy Camper's band, Assateague Phoenix's band, and some not in a band that hang around the developed area.
